Marking Appointments as 'Confirmed' or 'No Show'

Learn how to confirm appointments, including drop-offs, in the Appointment Calendar.

Appointments and drop-offs can be marked as Confirmed or Unconfirmed and are visually represented in the calendar by the appointment band and a confirmation checkmark.

When a new appointment or drop-off is scheduled, it is initially set to an Unconfirmed status.

  • Appointments: Unconfirmed appointments are indicated by a striped band on the left side of the calendar card, matching the color of the respective Appointment Type.

  • Drop-Offs: Unconfirmed drop-offs also display a striped band on the left, but it will always appear black, regardless of the Appointment Type.

Once an appointment has been confirmed, click the three-dot menu next to the appointment and select “Mark as Confirmed.”

Once an appointment or drop-off is marked as Confirmed:

  • The striped band on the left side of the calendar card changes to a solid band.

  • A confirmation check mark appears beneath the appointment time to indicate its confirmed status.

The three-dot menu will then update to “Mark as Unconfirmed.” Selecting this option will revert the calendar card to a striped band and remove the confirmation check mark, returning the appointment or drop-off to its unconfirmed state.

Regardless of the confirmation status, when a patient for a scheduled appointment or drop-off is checked in, the calendar card displays a solid band and a colored border. Marking the appointment as Confirmed or Unconfirmed while the patient is checked in will only show or hide the confirmation check mark; the solid band and border remain unchanged.

In List View, when an appointment or drop-off is marked as Confirmed, a confirmation check mark appears under the Status column.
