For larger hospitals with pharmacy departments, where certain orders—particularly controlled substances—must be dispensed by the pharmacy before being administered to inpatients, hospitals can print a product label from the Tx sheet. The order label will include patient and treatment details specific to each order to ensure that medication is administered safely and at the correct time.
To print a product label, go to the hourly treatment list on the Tx sheet by clicking the time or the column corresponding to the treatment hour. In the lower right hand corner of the treatment, click on the printer icon.
This will generate a PDF product label that can be printed and brought to your inhouse pharmacy department.
