When ordering a medication that has been set up in the Product Admin using BSA (m2), an additional dosage result in mg/m2 is shown more on setting this up below.
A carefully designed/subtle warning is also displayed if the medication dose is outside specified ranges. You can always bypass the warnings by selecting Ignore + Order, if needed.
Pro Tip: If the patient’s weight changes, the dose will not automatically change. The mg/kg and mg/m2 dosage will change on the calculator but a human needs to verify/add the quantity on the Treatment Sheet for patient safety.
