Communicating with pet owners just got a lot more visual. Client Chat now supports sharing photos both ways, plus receiving videos from pet owners!
No more relying on words alone to communicate with your practice’s pet owners. You can now invite them to send you a photo of the skin condition they are worried about, or a video of their pet’s concerning behavior. You can also send them photos of post-procedure care instructions or recovery progress.
Please keep in mind that media files must be under 10MB per file to be received or sent.
To add an image or video to your text, click the paperclip icon to the left of the send icon.
Once selected, this will open your computer’s file explorer, where you can select an image or video to send.
You can also drag and drop any image or video from your computer into the client chat!
If you selected the incorrect image or video, you can delete it by hovering over it and selecting the 🗑️icon.
For videos sent from pet owners, you will be able to play, expand, and download the media file, depending on your computer’s built-in video player.
If you click on the image or video directly, you can download the media file and upload it to the patient’s chart or to your computer by clicking the down arrow in the upper right-hand corner.
If the image is too small, you can zoom in or out, using the magnifying glasses under the image.
If the video or image is an unsupported media type, you will see the following message within Client Chat:
However, if you click on this message, you will be able to download it to your computer.
