Any user assigned the “Create Draft Orders” role can still place orders for treatments. However, orders for medications, diagnostics, continuous infusions, and miscellaneous treatments will require approval from a user with approval permissions before they become “live.”
These draft orders will be marked with a cap and gown icon on the Treatment Sheet and will never become overdue, since they are not considered active orders.
Draft orders are not available to complete or visible on the Status Board but will appear as a striped box on the Treatment Sheet itself:
