Bionote Overview and Setup

In Instinct EMR, the Bionote integration connects your Bionote diagnostic devices directly to the patient record, so lab results automatically return to Instinct when a mapped order is completed.

How the Bionote integration works

When a mapped Bionote order is completed on the Treatment Sheet, in Ax Mode, or via One-Off, Instinct automatically creates a Bionote Chart document. Once Bionote processes the sample and results are available, the Chart document updates, and results can be viewed directly in Instinct.

Note: Adding a Bionote product directly to an Estimate or Invoice does not create or complete a treatment and will not initiate a lab request.

Before you begin

To set up the Bionote integration, your user role must include the admin_integrations permission. An admin at your practice can assign this under Admin → Practice → Staff → Manage User Roles.

You will also need your Bionote credentials: username, password, and clinic ID. Contact Bionote to obtain these if you do not have them.

Set up the Bionote integration in Instinct

  1. Go to Admin → Practice → Integrations.

  2. Find Bionote in the integrations list and click Add Credentials.

  3. In the modal that opens, enter your Bionote username, password, and clinic ID.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Click the Activate button next to Bionote to activate the integration.

Once activated, Bionote will appear as an available integration source when mapping products.

Tip: Contact Instinct Support before activating an integration for the first time—they can confirm your account is configured correctly.
