The Transaction Summary Report consists of the following:

Report Info Tab

The Report Info tab serves as the cover page for the report. It includes the Hospital Name and Hospital Location, as well as the reporting date/time range and the report creation date.

Glossary Tab

This report does not contain a glossary tab at this time.

Transaction Summary Tab

The Transaction Summary tab includes the following information:

  • Transaction Type: Indicates whether the transaction is a Payment, Deposit (Pre-Payment), Refund (Account Deposit), or Refund (Invoice Payment).

  • Transaction Method: Shows how the transaction was made (Cash, Credit, Check, etc.).

  • Credit Card Type: Specifies the card used (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, etc.).

  • Count: Total number of transactions by type, method, and credit card type.

  • Total Paid Amount: Represents the total funds collected from customers on a given day, reflecting when payments were made, regardless of whether the funds have been processed and deposited into the bank account.

  • Total Settled Amount: Indicates the funds that have been processed by the payment processor and deposited into the practice’s bank account. This metric is essential for reconciling bank deposits with payment processor totals. For users without Integrated Payments (non-IP), this column may appear but will not populate with data.

  • Total Refunded Amount: Sum of all refund transactions by type, method, and credit card type.

  • % Total: Percentage breakdown of all transactions by type, method, and credit card type. This is calculated based on paid amounts, not settled amounts, and should not be used for reconciliation purposes. Tips for Reconciliation:

  • Always use the "Total Settled Amount" when reconciling against bank deposits or payment processor totals.

  • Avoid using the "% Total" column for reconciliation, as it is based on paid amounts rather than settled amounts.
