Zoetis Integration Set Up

Instinct is partnered with Zoetis to offer a diagnostic integration!

👀 Diagnostic Integration at a Glance

When a mapped Zoetis lab order is completed on the Treatment Sheet, in Ax Mode, or via One-Off, the following will happen:

  • A new Zoetis Chart document is automatically created with a status of Pending.

  • Once results are available for In-House and Reference Lab requests, the status of the Chart document is updated to either Partial or To Review and results can be viewed by clicking on View Results.

💡Don’t forget you can access the Diagnostics Dashboard, where all of your pending and recently received Zoetis diagnostics are displayed for patients at your hospital at a glance!

If Instinct was aware of your use of this integration, we’ve enabled the Admin page for you automatically. If you use this integration and do not see the Admin > Integrations page enabled, please contact our support team through the in-app messenger or by emailing [email protected] to have the page enabled.


⚙ Getting Started

Setting up Credentials

You must have the admin_integrations Permission added to one of your Roles to manage your Zoetis credentials.

Setting up Zoetis Reference Labs Credentials

To set up the Zoetis Reference Labs integration with Instinct, please contact Zoetis Reference Lab ([email protected]) to obtain your credentials. Verify with the Zoetis Support team that all providers who will be submitting lab orders through Instinct are configured in Salesforce.

Once you have your Zoetis Reference Labs integration credentials, you will need to add them to the Zoetis Integration in the Integration section of Admin.

Clicking Add Credentials will bring up a screen to enter your Zoetis username, password, and clinic ID.

For multi-location hospitals: Each location will have a separate set of credentials.

Once saved, a Map Providers button will appear on the Zoetis Integration line.

Click the Map Providers button to display the following modal:

All non-mapped providers in Instinct will appear in the left-hand dropdown under Select Instinct Provider at the bottom of the modal. All unmapped synced providers from Zoetis Salesforce will appear under the Select Zoetis Provider section.

🚨 If not all expected providers appear under the Zoetis Provider section, reach out to Zoetis Support to add additional providers in Zoetis Salesforce. Only orders with mapped providers will be successfully submitted. An order associated with an unmapped provider will fail.

Go through the list of providers, pairing the Instinct provider with the Zoetis provider. Clicking the ✔️ next to the drop-downs will map the provider, and clicking the ❌ will cancel the mapping.

To remove any provider that has been mapped, click the 🗑️ icon to the right of the mapping.

Provider mappings will be saved automatically once the ✔️ is selected. To exit the module, click on the Close button.

Setting up Zoetis Point of Care Credentials

🗺️ Mapping Zoetis Products

Mapping a product for the Zoetis integrations ensures the correct generation of the Zoetis requisition PDF for reference labs or the appropriate order to populate for Zoetis POC labs. Proper mapping also ensures results are returned to Instinct.

📓 Please Note: Only products that have a Tx Sheet Category of Diagnostics can be mapped for the Zoetis Integrations.

To start, navigate to Products within the Admin Section and search for the product you want to map for either the Zoetis Reference Lab or Zoetis POC labs.

Click on the product name to open the product module. Under Integrations, you can choose from the Company drop-down menu either Zoetis (for reference labs) or Zoetis POC (for in-house labs).

Next, select the appropriate Zoetis or Zoetis POC product from the Integration Product drop-down menu.

This selection will map the chosen product to your corresponding Instinct product and will be visible anytime you are viewing the product modal.

To unmap an integrated product, simply click the ❌ icon to the right of the integrated product. Don’t forget to click Save before exiting the product modal.
