Instinct ITP and AVImark will work closely together to help simplify the check in/out process as well as help to easily audit charges.

Before checking out the patient in AVImark, ensure that invoice items on the Instinct invoice have been added to the AVImark invoice. Since the AVImark connection with Instinct does not sync invoice information, we have provide a couple of suggestions to ensure charges in Instinct are captured on the AVImark invoice.

Suggested Workflow #1 – Utilizing A Treatment To Indicate That Instinct Invoice Items Have Been Entered In AVImark

  1. At time of discharge, nursing staff will complete the treatment ‘Audit Invoice/Enter Charges’ after ensuring charges on the Instinct Invoice have been added to the AVImark Invoice. Completing this treatment will add an invoice line item of ‘Audit Invoice/Enter Charges’ to the Instinct Invoice.

  2. Nursing staff can then select the ‘Ready to Go’ indicator in the 3-dot menu next to the patient’s name, alerting the front desk staff that the patient can be checked out.

  1. Front Desk staff will see the ‘Ready to Go’ indicator next to the patient’s name on the status board indicating the patient is ready to be checked out.

  2. Front Desk staff should double check the Instinct invoice looking for the ‘Audit Invoice/Enter Charges’ line item to be the last line, before proceeding with check out.

Suggest Workflow #2 – Voiding Charges On the Instinct Invoice As They Are Added in AVImark

  1. As Instinct invoice line items are added on to the AVImark invoice, staff can be voiding the line items on the Instinct invoice to indicate they have been added.

  1. Before checking the patient out, the front desk staff would double check the Instinct invoice total is $0.00 and all line items have been voided, indicating the charges have entered into AVImark.
