Learn how to navigate and use the documents panel in your patient's chart

The Documents Page seamlessly brings together all patient documents, providing a unified and streamlined view. With a quick glance, you can effortlessly view document status, date, type, Shareville status, and provider without the hassle of sifting through lengthy visit information.

The enhanced search allows you to easily filter and sort your results for a more efficient process.

Row Actions

  • Clicking on the document name opens the patient’s Chart panel to the right

  • If the document is an integrated diagnostic lab or imaging report and the results are available, clicking on the document will open the results in another window

  • If the document is an uploaded file, clicking on the document name opens the media previewer

👁️ Preview

  • View Results – Opens results for lab/imaging documents

    • If IDEXX results are received, VetConnect opens in another window

    • If Heska results are received, the patient’s Chart panel opens

    • If Antech results are received, the report PDF opens in another window

    • If Asteris results are received, Keystone opens in another window, as well as the report PDF

  • Preview File – Opens media previewer for uploaded files

➡️ Open Document in Side Pane – Opens the patient’s Chart panel.

🚦 3-Dot Menu Options

  • On Charts

    • Duplicate – helps you start a new document from a previous document so you don’t have to copy/paste certain fields that may have stayed the same

    • Print – generates a PDF for printing

    • Toggle rVet Sharing On/Off – enable or disable document sharing on Shareville

    • Addendum – For Completed charts, add an additional note on

    • Void – if you no longer want it to appear in the patient Charts screen

3-dot menu options on Charts

  • On Diagnostic Reports

    • Mark as to Review – results need to be reviewed by a clinician

    • Mark as Reviewed – available when all of the results have been received to indicate that the results have been reviewed

    • Mark as Complete – results have been reviewed and the owner notified

    • Print Requisition PDF – prints a requisition form for reference lab tests

    • Print Results PDF – prints the diagnostic results

    • Toggle rVet Sharing Off/On – enable or disable diagnostic results shared on Shareville

    • Create Task – opens up the Task List panel with the patient pre-selected
