Before you begin
Contact Antech to obtain your Client ID and Client Secret. Multi-location is supported within Instinct EMR and Sound.
You must have the admin_integrations permission added to your User Role to manage integration setup in Admin → Practice → Integrations.
Before you can use this integration, valid credentials must be added in Instinct, and modalities must be enabled and mapped.
Antech Sound workflow at a glance:
A mapped product is completed on the Tx Sheet, Ax Mode, or via a one-off order.
A new visit chart document is automatically created with a status of Pending.
Patient information is sent to the Sound modality worklist to process the order.
Complete the imaging at the modality (radiographs, ultrasound, MRI, CT) and upload to your PACS.
Once images are available, the chart document status updates to To Review, and results can be viewed in a separate window by clicking the provided link.
Add your practice's credentials
Enter your Antech Sound credentials in Instinct EMR Admin to activate the integration.
Navigate to Admin → Practice → Integrations.
Find Antech Sound in the list and click Add Credentials.
On the Configuration page, press Advanced to open the API URL field and enter the URL: https://mwl.soundvet.com/CloudMWL/PracticeManagementAPI
Next, enter your Client ID and your Client Secret.
Click Save. A "Configuration saved" confirmation appears.
Click Activate to activate the integration.
Enable modalities
After saving your credentials, you must enable the specific modalities your practice uses before you can map products to them. Instinct EMR pulls the full list of available modalities from Antech Sound—only enable modalities relevant to your practice.
From the Antech Sound integration page, select the Services tab.
Use the All, Enabled, and Disabled filter buttons to sort the list.
Find the modality you want to enable and toggle it on. The toggle turns green, and the status changes to Enabled. Enable each modality that your practice uses in order to make them available to map to.
Note: Only enabled modalities appear as options when mapping products. Enable all modalities your practice uses before starting product mapping.
Map products in Admin
Mapping a product for the Antech Sound Radiology integration allows you to send radiology orders from the patient's treatment sheet to your Sound modality worklist. You can map any product to Sound, even if it's not defined with a Diagnostics tx category. Products can be mapped in Admin → Inventory and in Admin → Integrations.
Map products in Admin → Inventory
Navigate to Admin → Inventory → Products and search for the product you want to map.
Click the product name to open the product setup page.
Under Integrations, choose Antech Sound from the Integration Source drop-down.
Select the appropriate modality from the Integration Product drop-down.
Click Save.
To unmap a product, open the product setup window, click the X icon to the right of the integrated product, and click Save.
