Navigate Automations by Category

In Instinct EMR, the Automations page now includes category tabs so you can quickly filter and browse automations by practice area. The Audit Log has moved from a tab to a header button, and each tab shows the count of automations in that category.

Browse automations by category

  1. Go to Admin → Practice → Automations.

  2. At the top of the Automations page, select a category tab to filter the list:

  • All — shows every automation in your practice

  • Patient Safety

  • Clinical Care

  • Client Experience

  • Hospital Operations

  • Business & Finance

  • Templates

  • Uncategorized — automations that have not been assigned a category

The list updates immediately to show only automations in the selected category. The number next to each tab name shows how many automations are in that category.

Assign a category to an automation

If you have automations in the Uncategorized tab, you can assign a category by selecting the uncategorized automation and selecting a Category from the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of the automations’ setup page. This keeps your Automations list organized and easier to navigate.

Frequently asked questions

Where did my automation go? I can't find it.

Select the All tab to see every automation regardless of category. If you were previously browsing within a specific category tab, your automation may be in a different category or in Uncategorized.

Where did the Audit Log tab go?

The Audit Log moved to a button in the page header, next to Add new. All audit history is still there—only the location changed.

How are automations assigned to a category?

Categories are set within each automation's settings. Automations without a category appear in the Uncategorized tab.
