Prescription Dashboard in Instinct EMR

Written by Meridythe Lanoue

In Instinct EMR, the Prescription Dashboard gives staff a centralized view of all digital and external prescriptions—including Written Rx's and Mixlab Rx's. This article covers how to access the dashboard, filter and sort results, and understand prescription status definitions.

Access the Prescription Dashboard

Select the Rx vial icon on the left-hand navigation bar.

Sort and filter prescriptions

Filters and sort preferences are saved indefinitely; they persist even if you navigate away or log out of Instinct.

Sort by: patient name, product name, prescribed date, or provider name.

To sort by a specific column, hover over the column heading and select the arrow to sort in a specific direction.

Filter by: status, provider, or location (multi-location practices only).

Filter options are located in the top right corner of the Prescriptions dashboard. After toggling a filter on, click on it to view the available list to filter from.

Row actions

  • Select the patient's name to navigate to the patient's chart

  • Select the prescription name to open the prescription panel

  • Select the Open Prescription in Side Pane icon to open the panel alongside the dashboard
