Printer not showing up or not printing
Restart your computer. This restarts the DYMO services and resolves most issues.
Unplug the DYMO printer and plug it back in to resolve connectivity issues.
Go to your computer's printer or device settings and confirm the DYMO printer is visible, shared over the network, and shows a status of idle.
If the printer still doesn't appear in your computer's printer list, escalate the issue to your IT team.
Resolve driver and web service issues
Confirm the DYMO Connect Web Service is running on every computer that prints from Instinct. On Windows, it must run with User permissions, not Administrator—hover over the thumbnail icon to check. If it's running as Administrator, quit and reopen DYMO Connect Web Service, or restart your workstation.
Mac location
Windows location
On Windows, open Task Manager and search for DYMO.WebApi.Win.Host to confirm your computer is connected to a DYMO printer. If it doesn't appear, reinstall the DYMO driver.
If you see an SSL error after clicking Diagnose in DYMO Connect, uninstall and reinstall DYMO Connect.
Note: On Windows, if you use a Custom install, make sure both DYMO Connect and DYMO Connect Web Service are selected. Labels will not print without them. |
Fix labels printing incorrectly
If your printer produces blank labels or labels that don't align correctly, press the feed button on the front of the printer.
If the labels advance more than one label, or don't advance a full label, confirm the labels are loaded correctly and that you're using genuine DYMO labels.
Fix a removed printer that still shows in Instinct EMR
If you've removed a printer from your computer but it still displays in Instinct, delete it from your computer's printer list first. If it's still showing in Instinct afterward, contact support for help removing it.
