Before you begin
A 400 series DYMO LabelWriter printer.
3-1/2" x 1-15/16" labels—this is the only label size currently supported. Other sizes will not print correctly. DYMO 500 series is not supported with this format.
A DYMO driver must be installed on every computer that will print labels.
Note: The newer DYMO Connect Drivers have not been tested with Instinct EMR and may not be compatible. |
Set up DYMO Web Connect on a PC
Install the DYMO driver/software on every computer that will print labels.
Go to your computer's Settings → Devices → Printers & scanners.
Select the DYMO printer, then click Manage.
Click Printer Properties, then open the General tab.
Open the Sharing tab and select Share this printer. If you have more than one DYMO printer on your network, give each one a unique share name (for example, Pharmacy or Treatment Room).
Insert 3-1/2" x 1-15/16" labels into the printer with the label side down.
Keep the DYMO printer connected to one computer on your network—other computers will print to it from Instinct.
Set up DYMO Web Connect on a Mac
Install the DYMO Label™ v8.7 driver/software on every computer that will print labels.
Open the installer file and complete the installation.
If prompted, grant permission for the system extension to run.
Plug in your DYMO printer to confirm it's working.
Frequently asked questions
Can I print from more than one computer?
Yes. Any Windows or Mac computer on the same network can print to a shared DYMO printer, as long as that printer is connected to a computer on the same network.
What if I don't have a computer near the printer?
DYMO sells a small print server that makes the printer available over your network without needing to stay plugged into a computer.
