The SignalPET API integration connects your radiology workflow to Instinct’s patient record. Patient history from Instinct EMR can be pulled into SignalPET when you submit a study, and completed SignalPET reports can be returned to the patient’s record in Instinct.
Before you begin
Your practice must have an active SignalPET account. To get started with SignalPET, contact SignalPET via live chat at signalpet.com or email [email protected].
You will need your Instinct EMR API credentials. Contact Instinct’s support team to request API credentials to connect SignalPET and Instinct. For more details, see Requesting Partner API Access.
This integration’s connection and report settings are configured solely in SignalPET.
What information moves between SignalPET and Instinct EMR
The integration works in both directions.
From Instinct EMR to SignalPET: When you submit a study, SignalPET retrieves relevant patient history from Instinct’s patient record. For Complete Reports and Radiologist Reports, longer histories are summarized into concise clinical context.
From SignalPET to Instinct EMR: Completed Immediate Reports, Complete Reports, and Radiologist Reports are returned to the patient record, based on the report types your practice selects in SignalPET’s report settings.
SignalPET report types
Immediate Report: AI-generated findings, typically returned in about 3 to 4 minutes.
Complete Report: AI-generated full-case interpretation that includes patient history and clinical context, with findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Reports typically return within 20 to 30 minutes. If AI confidence is not sufficient, the case is automatically escalated to a board-certified veterinary radiologist.
Radiologist Report: A signed interpretation from a board-certified veterinary radiologist.
