How to skip or not complete a treatment.

To mark a treatment as “Not Completed”, simply click the “NC” button to the right of the “Complete” button:

There are two options here:

  1. If you “skip” the treatment, then it will automatically become due at the next scheduled hour.

  2. Your other option is to “skip and reschedule”, in which case you will be able to choose the next hour that it is due. This is helpful if a patient is currently in surgery or if you’d like to reassess the need for a PRN medication (think pain or anxiety meds). Just know that a “note” will always be required when a treatment is marked as not completed.

Once a treatment is skipped, a “NC” will be shown on the treatment sheet indicating a treatment was due at this hour but not completed. If a treatment is rescheduled, all future orders will shift to maintain the correct frequency. You can also hover over the “NC” box to view the required note.

Never “Complete” a treatment that was not performed. Completing an order may generate a charge to the invoice and the medical record will record this as being “Completed” when it actually wasn’t.
