Order an Ellie Diagnostics treatment
Ellie-specific treatments that have been mapped will display a diagnostic icon on both the Order tab and the line item on the TX screen. You can order Ellie Diagnostics treatments via the Treatment Sheet, in Ax Mode, or as a One-Off.
Note: The diagnostic icon will not display when ordered as a One-Off, but the integration will still function correctly.
Add specimen details to the requisition
To include specimen type, clinical history, specimen source, collection method, or tracking number on the Ellie requisition, enter that information as a treatment note. It will appear in the additional information and special instructions section of the generated requisition PDF.
Complete an Ellie Diagnostics treatment
Mark the Ellie treatment as complete on the Treatment Sheet or in Ax Mode.
Instinct automatically creates a Chart document with a Pending status and submits the request to Ellie.
Once the treatment is marked complete, the Complete button changes to View Results.
Click View Results to open the Chart document. Click View Form to view, download, or print the requisition PDF.
Chart status progression
Ellie Diagnostics Chart documents move through the following statuses:
Pending — Instinct has submitted the request; results are not yet available.
To Review — Ellie has returned results and are ready to review.
To Share — Results have been reviewed and are ready to share with the client or rDVM. Update the status manually when ready.
Complete — Results have been reviewed and shared. Update the status manually when done.
