View and Share Ellie Diagnostics Results

In Instinct EMR, Ellie Diagnostics results are automatically attached to the patient's Chart document as soon as they are available. This article explains how to view, review, and share results with clients and referring veterinarians.

When an Ellie Diagnostics Chart document reaches To Review status, the results PDF is available as an attachment in the Chart document side panel.

  1. Open the Chart document for the patient in the side panel.

  2. Locate the results PDF under the Attachment section.

  3. Click the attachment to open the PDF for review.

Share results

There are several ways to share Ellie Diagnostics results with a client or rDVM:

  • Select the Print button at the bottom of the Chart pane to generate a PDF for printing.

  • Access the results via the Print Record or Comm Log Attachments menus.

  • If the rVet Sharing toggle is enabled and the patient has an rDVM assigned, results will also be available in Shareville.

  • If the Pet Portal toggle is enabled, results will be available in the Pet Owner Portal.

Note: rVet Sharing for lab requests is toggled ON by default. If you do not want results shared automatically with the rDVM, turn this toggle off during the ordering process.

Update the chart status after review

After reviewing results, manually update the Chart document status to reflect the next step:

  • Set to To Share when results are ready to share with the client or rDVM.

  • Set to Complete when results have been reviewed and shared.
