Share Vet Rocket Imaging Results and Reports

In Instinct EMR, Vet Rocket diagnostic images and PDF reports are automatically shared with the referring veterinarian (rVet) through Shareville by default. You can control when sharing occurs using the rVet sharing toggle in the chart document.

Control rVet sharing from the chart document

By default, diagnostic images and reports are shared with the rVet as soon as the chart document is created. To review results before sharing:

  1. Open the Vet Rocket chart document in the patient's chart at the time the diagnostic document is created.

  2. Disable the rVet sharing toggle to prevent images and reports from being shared immediately.

  3. When you are ready to share, return to the chart document and enable the rVet sharing toggle.

Note: The rVet sharing toggle controls both images and reports. Enabling it shares both—they cannot be shared separately.

Once sharing is enabled, the rVet can view the images in the Shareville portal. From there, they can launch the image in Rocket PACS or download the report, if one is associated.

Share imaging reports with pet owners

PDF reports can also be shared with pet owners via the Comm Log or when printing records.

  1. Go to the Comm Log and open the Send section.

  2. Click Attachments to open the attachment window.

  3. Select the imaging reports you want to share with the owner.

  4. Click Select Attachments to attach the report to the email.

Frequently asked questions

Can I share images without sharing the report, or vice versa?

No. The rVet sharing toggle controls both images and reports together—enabling it shares both.

What can the rVet see once sharing is enabled?

The rVet can view images in the Shareville portal, launch images in Rocket PACS, or download the associated report if one is available.
