Look Up tool (magnifying glass)
The "Look Up" tool, magnifying glass icon, on the left hand navy sidebar, will allow you to search for any patients that have visits within Instinct. In this way, it is essentially a "visit search" instead of a search of all patients in your Instinct app.
You can filter by Patient First/Last Name, Doctor, and Check-In Date. All 3 searches can be active at the same time and are saved per user, so any filters set will be remembered the next time the patient search is opened. To remove any filters, simply click the ‘Clear’ button towards the top right of the patient search box.
A few things to keep in mind:
If multiple filters are set, results will include any patients who match both filters exactly.
If you search using the doctor filter, it will find visits of when this doctor was assigned during that visit. For example, if a doctor was only assigned to a patient for an hour but checked out by another doctor, you can search by the either doctor to find this patient.
Searching by the ‘Check-In’ date will only include patients who were specifically checked in on that date. It does not include all patients who were in the hospital on that date.
