How To Correct the Wrong Doctor on a Rabies Certificate

Less Than 24 Hours Post Visit:

  1. Check the patient in for a new visit.

  2. Go to Charts and use the 3-dot menu to re-open the Rabies vaccine visit.

  3. Assign the correct doctor on the treatment sheet.

  4. On the Invoice, use the 3-dot menu next to the Rabies vaccine to Void the line.

  5. Using the One-off feature, order a new Rabies vaccine and fill out the vaccine information as applicable.

  6. Check the patient out and close the invoice.

  7. Navigate to the Reminders section of the Patient Info Bar and generate a new Rabies certificate.

Greater Than 24 Hours Post Visit:

  1. Check the patient in for a new visit.

  2. Assign the correct doctor on the treatment sheet.

  3. Using the One-off feature, order a new Rabies vaccine and fill out the vaccine information as applicable. Make sure to edit the line item date to reflect the date the vaccine was given.

  4. Repeat this step, but this time on the invoice edit the new line item to reflect the correct date of vaccination, change the dose to -1, and change the doctor to the originally incorrect doctor.

  5. Since these two vaccines total amounts cancel each other out, there is no additional balance for the client. Simply check out the patient and close the invoice.

  6. Navigate to the Reminder section of the Patient Info Bar and Generate a new Rabies certificate.
