Sound Workflow at a Glance
First, a mapped product needs to be completed on the Tx Sheet, Ax Mode, or via One-Off.
A Sound Diagnostic Chart document is automatically created with a status of Pending.
Patient information will then be sent to the Sound modality worklist to process the order.
Complete the imaging at the modality (radiographs, Ultrasound, MRI, CT) and upload to your PACS.
Once images are available, the status of the Chart document is updated to To Review, and results can be viewed in a separate window by clicking on the provided link.
Don’t forget you can access the Diagnostics Dashboard, where all of your pending and recently received Sound images are displayed for patients at your hospital at a glance!
Getting Started
Setting up Credentials
Contact Sound Radiology to obtain your credentials — Client ID and Client Secret, as well as to help with modality set up. Multi-location is supported within Instinct and Sound.
To set up the Sound Radiology Integration, you must add the admin_integrations permission to one of your Roles. This permission grants you access to the Integration section of Instinct Admin.
To enter your Sound Radiology integration credentials, navigate to the Admin area of Instinct, and under the Practice Section, select Integrations.
In the list of Integrations, find Sound and click on the Add Credentials button.
In the modal that opens, add the URL (https://mwl.soundvet.com/CloudMWL/PracticeManagementAPI), Client ID, and Client Secret, and click on Save.
Finally, click on the Activate button for Sound to activate the integration.
Mapping Sound Radiology Products
Mapping a product for the Sound Radiology integration allows you to send radiology orders from the patient’s treatment sheet to your Sound modality worklist. You can map any product in Admin to Sound, even if it’s not defined with a Diagnostics tx category.
To start, navigate to Products within the Admin Section and search for the product you want to map for Sound Radiology.
Click on the product name to open the product module. Under Integrations, choose Sound from the Integration Source drop-down menu.
Next, select the appropriate modality from the Integration Product drop-down menu and then click on Save.
This selection will map the chosen product to your corresponding Instinct product and will be visible anytime you are viewing the product modal.
To unmap an integrated product, simply click the ❌ icon to the right of the integrated product. Don’t forget to click on Save before exiting the product modal.
