What Changed in Instinct’s Updated Interface?

Instinct EMR and ITP have a refreshed visual interface with improved contrast, clearer layouts, and consistent navigation patterns throughout the system. Nothing about how Instinct works has changed—your workflows, patient records, and clinical tools are exactly as before.

The updated interface applies to the most frequently used areas of Instinct EMR and ITP:

Some pages will still show the previous design. The system is updating in phases to ensure quality and stability. Remaining pages will transition in upcoming releases.

Consistency across the system. Different areas of Instinct developed slightly different design patterns over time—a button might look one way in the Treatment Sheet and another in the Appointment Calendar. The refreshed interface uses consistent patterns everywhere, so what you learn in one area applies across the entire system.

Improved accessibility. Color contrast and visual hierarchy were enhanced across all pages and shared components.

Faster onboarding for new staff. Consistent design patterns mean new team members can get up to speed more quickly. New team members no longer need to learn different conventions for different screens.

A foundation for what's next. The updated design system creates a more flexible base for upcoming features. New features will integrate seamlessly into the new interface.

Will I lose any data or functionality with this update? No. The update is visual only, so nothing about how Instinct works has changed.

Some pages still look different—is that normal? Yes. The interface is rolling out in phases. Pages not yet updated will transition in future releases.
