Heska EPOC and COAG Analyzers

Using EPCO and COAG analyzers with the Heska Integration.

Updated over a week ago

The EPOC and COAG Analyzers will need to have the Patient ID or Request ID MANUALLY entered into the analyzers as they currently will not pickup requests from the worklist, but will send the results back to Instinct.

Workflow

  • Complete the treatment in Instinct

  • Enter the Patient ID or Request ID into the analyzer

  • Run the sample

  • Results will be sent back to Instinct automatically

Best Practices for Manual ID Entry

The Request ID will display at the top of the Chart pane:

EPOC

Requisition ID Only

Patient Name or ID
Requisition ID

  • The numeric portion of this number (after DR) can be entered in either the ‘Pat ID’ or ‘ID2’ field.

COAG

  • Enter the Requisition ID into the Patient ID or Sample ID field

Laboratory Treatments – Chart Screen

When a laboratory treatment is completed, a new Diagnostic Chart document is automatically created for the current visit.

The status of the Chart document will either say Pending if results are not yet completed, or Complete if results are returned (visible in real time).
