Stockroom Analytics: Inventory Stockout

Updated over 3 months ago

The Inventory Stockout report keeps track of how often products run out of stock. A product is considered to be out of stock when its QOH is below its Min QOH.

🎓 Stockout = When a product is used in Instinct EMR (Tx completed, invoiced, etc.), but it’s QOH is below it’s Min QOH by end of day, then a stockout event is recorded. This means that a stockout event for a given product could appear on consecutive days if the product continues to be used and its QOH continues to drop further below its Min QOH.

Graphs and Charts can be filtered to show:

  • Location

  • Date

  • Product (multiple products can be selected)

  • Priority Flags

There are 2 main screens in Inventory Stockout; Summary and Details

Summary

The summary screen displays the following graphs and charts:

  • Total Stockout by Day

  • Out of Stock Products by Priority

  • Product Stockout Severity by Day – The distance of a product’s QoH from its Min QoH

  • Out of Stock Products by Location

Using the 3-dot menu in the upper right corner of any of the graphs or charts will allow you to download results in .csv, .xlsx, .json, or .png file format.

Hovering over any portion of the charts or graph will produce a tool tip that will either further break the chart down and show what each portion represents or will display the specific value on the graph including the date.

Details

The Details screen displays a list of Product Stockout and includes information on the Product Name, Location, Priority, Min QOH, and Stockouts.

Each column in the Product Stockout List has a carrot symbol (🔼) that you can use to sort the column in ascending or descending order. In the lower right hand corner, you will have the ability to advance the page and see more rows of products.
