Stockroom Analytics

Written by Nicole Baldwin

Instinct Stockroom includes built-in Analytics to help Practice Admins monitor inventory value, product usage costs, stockout trends, and supplier performance. Analytics are accessible only to Practice Admins.

Report categories

Analytics are organized into four report categories. Each includes a Summary view with charts and graphs and a Details view with sortable, exportable data.

  • Inventory Valuation: Tracks the total value of your inventory across locations. Value is calculated as (QoH ÷ unit ratio) × buying cost. Broken down by inventory tag, priority, and location.

  • Cost of Goods Sold: Tracks the cost of products depleted through treatments, invoices, and other activity. Broken down by priority, location, and inventory tag over time.

  • Inventory Stockout: Tracks how often products run out of stock. A stockout is recorded when a product is used and its QoH falls below its minimum QoH by the end of the day.

  • Suppliers: Tracks product costs and quantities received by supplier over time.

Filter reports

All reports can be filtered to narrow results. Common filters include:

  • Location

  • Date range — preset options (today, last 7 days, last 30 days, etc.) or custom date ranges

  • Inventory tags

  • Product

  • Priority

Hover over any chart or graph to see a detailed tooltip with values and breakdowns.

Export and print reports

Any chart, graph, or data table can be exported using the 3-dot menu in its top-right corner.

  • Charts and graphs: Export as PNG, CSV, XLSX, or JSON

  • Tables: Export as CSV, XLSX, or JSON

  • Full tab export: Export the entire tab as a PDF for easy sharing and printing
