Product Bundles consist of non-billable, consumable inventory items that are automatically deducted from your stock counts when a billable product is charged. For example, performing an IDEXX in-house test for CBC/Chem 17/Lytes will consume chemistry and electrolyte lab clips from your inventory. To ensure your Stockroom inventory for these items is tracked accurately, you must first create them in Instinct EMR as non-billable products. Consider adding a visual identifier, such as a symbol or keyword, in front of the item name to easily distinguish it as a non-billable inventory code.

Next, navigate to the Admin section of Instinct EMR for the IDEXX in-house CBC/Chem 17/Lytes test, and select the Create Bundle button.
This will open a product form, allowing you to add up to 30 non-billable products to the bundle.
Keeping the “Require confirmation on tx completion” toggle activated (orange) prompts your staff to verify the inventory quantities used, which is particularly useful if they use the Product Bundle as a pick-list or have to manually adjust quantities. Turning this option off (grey) will automatically adjust the inventory levels without prompting for confirmation.
When an item contains Product Bundles, a syringe icon will appear next to its label, indicating that it includes inventory items:
