Check your minimum internet speed
Test your internet speed at each device or practice area using www.fast.com. Aim for the following minimums:
Small practice: at least 10 Mbps download/upload
Large practice: at least 30 Mbps download/upload
If you experience internet speed or stability issues, contact your IT professional. Instinct is not able to troubleshoot local network infrastructure.
Set up a backup internet plan
Instinct strongly recommends creating a backup internet plan at the practice level in case your primary connection goes down. Work with your IT professional to evaluate these options:
Cellular hotspots
Cellular-enabled laptops
Dedicated routers with cellular redundancy (automatic switching), which are typically easy and inexpensive to set up
Tip: During an outage, Instinct automatically alerts you that connectivity is lost and reconnects when it's available again. Instinct also provides brief in-app instructions for using a mobile phone as a hotspot in a pinch.
