Understand What Syncs to Vetcove Home Delivery

Written by Melissa Duarte

Once the Vetcove Home Delivery integration is connected, Instinct EMR continuously syncs your client, patient, and provider information to Vetcove. This article explains what syncs and how the changes you make in Instinct EMR affect Vetcove.

Beta Phase: This integration is currently in Beta, which means it’s still being tested and improved. Some functionality may change. If you notice any issues, please contact Support.

What syncs to Vetcove

  • Clients: Name, contact details (email, phone, address), and visit history.

  • Patients: Name, species, breed, sex, color, date of birth, weight, and visit history.

  • Providers: Name and provider status.

Changes you make in Instinct EMR appear in Vetcove within about 60 seconds. Clients and patients only appear in Vetcove if the patient has been checked in at your connected location within the past 2 years.

How record changes affect Vetcove

  • Edit a client or patient: The updated information is automatically sent to Vetcove.

  • Check in a patient: The patient and their owner account are updated in Vetcove.

  • Transfer a patient to a different account: The previous client relationship is marked inactive in Vetcove, and a new one is created under the new account/client.

  • Merge patients: The merged patient is marked inactive in Vetcove, and the remaining patient is updated.

  • Merge accounts: The merged account is marked inactive, and all of its patients move to the remaining account.

Note: The integration is location-specific. Connecting one Instinct EMR location does not affect your other locations.
